A Michigan man was filmed behind the wheel of a car while virtually attending a Zoom court hearing regarding a suspended license.
Corey Harris, 44, was attending a May 15 hearing on charges related to an earlier arrest in Pittsfield Township, Michigan, about 5 miles south of Ann Arbor. In a video that has since gone viral, a recording of the call shows Harris joining in while sitting in a moving car.
“Mr. Harris, are you driving?” » Judge Cedric Simpson, who seemed shocked, asked in the video. Harris responded that he was “actually coming into my doctor’s office. Just give me a second.” As Harris parks the car in the video, Simpson appears to smile and laugh in disbelief.
Once Harris parked, Simpson confirmed that Harris “is a driver with a suspended license” who was just seen driving without a license.

“I don’t even know why he would do that.”
When Simpson again clarifies that he doesn’t have a license, Harris’ mouth opens and he seems to understand what he just did on camera.
“I don’t even know why he would do that,” Simpson said after a pause, before revoking Harris’ bond and ordering that he report to the Washtenaw County Jail by 6 p.m. that day. . in a no-bail arrest warrant.
While Simpson speaks and outlines his conditions, Harris does not speak but appears to have darkly realized what his driving without a license has just done.
