WATCH LIVE: First day of Chad Daybell’s sentencing phase

BOISE — The first day of Chad Daybell’s sentencing phase after being found guilty of killing Tylee Ryan, JJ Vallow and Tammy Daybell takes place Friday in Ada County. We expect to hear victim impact statements before the jury deliberates whether Chad faces life in prison or the death penalty.

Daybell, who married Lori Vallow two weeks after the death of his wife Tammy Daybell in October 2019, was convicted Thursday of conspiracy to commit murder and first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of Tammy and two of Lori’s children – 7 years old. Joshua “JJ” Vallow and Tylee Ryan, 16 years old. He was also convicted of two counts of insurance fraud. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
