At least 10 people injured in shooting near UW-Madison

At least 10 people were injured after a shooting at a downtown Madison rooftop party early Sunday. “It’s truly a miracle that no one died,” Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes said during a morning news conference. The shooting happened around 12:45 a.m. in the Lux building, a few blocks from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Officers at the scene reported dozens of people screaming and running out of the complex. The Madison Police Department said the victims ranged in age from 14 to 23 years old. Not all of the injured people were shot. The victims are expected to survive. No one is in custody.
