Former President Donald Trump argued Monday that President Biden was responsible for the brutal rape and murder of Maryland mother Rachel Morin because of his refusal to “close the border.”
The 37-year-old mother of five was killed on a hiking trail in Bel Air, Maryland on August 1. On December 5, 2023, by Victor Martinez-Hernandez, a migrant from El Salvador, according to police.
Martinez-Hernandez, 23, entered the United States illegally in February 2023. He was arrested Friday in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after police matched his DNA to the gruesome crime scene.
“ANOTHER one of Crooked Joe Biden’s illegal immigrant criminals has just been charged with the rape and murder of ANOTHER innocent American woman!” Trump, 78, was furious with social truth.
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee compared Morin’s killing to the February killing of 22-year-old Georgia nursing student Laken Riley, whose alleged killer also entered the United States illegally.
“Rachel Morin was on the run in Maryland, just as Laken Riley was in Georgia, when she was brutally killed by an illegal monster wanted for murder in El Salvador and fled to the United States because he knew that Crooked Joe would let him in, Trump wrote. “Now Rachel Morin’s 5 young children will grow up without their mother because Crooked Joe refuses to close the border.”
Authorities said Martinez-Hernandez had ties to Salvadoran street gangs and a violent past.
He is wanted for the assault of a mother and a young daughter in Los Angeles and for a murder in El Salvador, according to authorities.
Trump criticized his 2024 opponent over his administration’s plan to offer work permits and deportation protections to illegal immigrants who marry U.S. citizens later this week – provided they live in the United States. United for at least 10 years.
