THE BRUTAL MURDERS OF THREE PEOPLE IN LINN COUNTY IN EASTERN IOWA SHOCKED PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THE STATE, BUT DEVASTATED THOSE WHO KNOW THEM PERSONALLY. They expressed frustration and anger and wondered if she would still be alive if she had quit her job. A LITTLE LATER THIS DAY. THIS IS A DIFFICULT LOSS FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. AMANDA PARKER’S CO-WORKER, 33, AT THE OLD BRICK HOUSE PUB AT LINDALE MALL IN CEDAR RAPIDS, SAYS SHE WAS WORKING ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5, AND AN HOUR AFTER SHARING SHE WAS FOUND DEAD AT THE AGE OF FOUR. AMANDA COOPER AND KIANA RYAN, 26, ALSO KILLED AT A PROPERTY IN RURAL LINN COUNTY. BRANT BROWN, 34, WAS FLIGHTED FROM THE SCENE, BUT HIS FATHER TOLD THE CEDAR RAPIDS GAZETTE THAT HIS SON SHOWED NO BRAIN ACTIVITY. COURT DOCUMENTS SHOW ALL FOUR VICTIMS WERE STRIKED IN THE HEAD WITH A METAL PIPE. LUKE TRUESDALE, 34, WAS ALSO FOUND AT THE LOCATION AND ADMITTED TO DEPUTIES THAT HE WAS THE ATTACKER. ONE OF THE THINGS THAT MR. TRUESDALE, uh, said in speaking with our deputies that he thought this incident could be made into a movie. Court documents do not say how the victims and the attacker knew each other. PARKER’S CO-WORKERS ARE NOW SUPPORTING HIS FAMILY, CREATING A GOFUNDME AND PLANNING TO HOST AN EVENT AT THE OLD BRICK HOUSE PUB TO RAISE MONEY FOR HIS SERVICES IN AREDALE HELD IN LINN COUNTY.

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office reports that Brent Brown, the fourth victim of an attack that killed three other people Wednesday in rural Linn County, has died from his injuries, KCRG reports. The Johnson County medical examiner pronounced Brown dead Friday. He was 34 years old. Luke Truesdell is now charged with four counts of first-degree murder. Authorities said the attack took place Wednesday, where police found three people – Romondus Cooper, Keonna Ryan and Amanda Parker – dead in an outbuilding in the 3600 block of East Otter Road in North Carolina. Truesdell is expected to appear in court Monday on this new and fourth charge of first-degree murder. Brown’s body will be transported to the state medical examiner’s office in Ankeny for an autopsy.
